		Shelly Breaux signed with The University of Alabama at Birmingham #22 Shelly Breaux Forward - 6 '1" Lafayette, LA St. Thomas More Catholic High School Graduated 2008 Shelly Breaux is a forward who at 6'1" is very agile and athletic and can run the floor really well. At St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette, Louisiana she has led her team to several District Championships and broke several school records. She leads the team in scoring and rebounding averaging 17.1 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. Shelly will be a great player for a major Division I school. As a sophomore, Shelly led her team to District Championship and Quarter-Finalist in State. She was named to All-District, All-State, All-Acadiana, and All-Parish teams. Shelly has also played AAU basketball with Team Louisiana out of Lafayette, LA. As a junior, Shelly led her team to another District Championship and Quarter-Finalist for a 2nd year. She was named MVP of District, named to All-State, All-Acadiana, All-Parish, and All-District teams. Shelly was also named as one of the top players in Louisiana by the Louisiana High School Basketball Coaches Assoc. She finished the season averaging 15.1 points per game, 11 rebounds per game. She has broke the school record for Most Blocked Shots per game in school history, and has also broke the school record for most rebounds in school history. She has in her 2 years of playing varsity scored over 1,000 points and on her way to breaking the record for most points at St. Thomas More High School. She has been named to several tournament teams that she has played in. Shelly is being pursued by several colleges around the country.
